Celsumwes – Sync – JD Design Awards 2022
Designer Akshaya Antony Clifford explored a fusion of western summer celebrity outfits clothing to curate a collection for the JD Design Awards 2022. Celsumwes is a collection that was researched and proposed as a women’s clothing line inspired by sun glitter. Sunlight that has been reflected by water waves is known as “sun glitter,” a brilliant, sparkling light. And the Possible causes of the waves include the water’s natural flow.
Celsumwes is a collection of women’s occasion wear inspired by the bright, sparkling light reflections on water waves- Sun Glitter.
“She who leaves a glitter trail is not easily forgotten,” and with this statement, it focuses primarily on female blazer draping especially combined with dresses and skirts. where the theme is depicted by styling it on the sleeves, collars, and by the fall of the fabric, as each garment stands out by its following detailing done by implementation of cloverleaf collar, one sided notched suit collar, Chelsea collar, long bell sleeves, peasant sleeve, and Knife pleat in the dress and skirt where Georgette, shimmery organza, and silk were used as fabrics.
JD Design Awards is an annual design event. Its previous editions were known as the JD Annual Design Awards, and featured themes such as Undo (2020), Curator (2019), Change (2018), Future Origins (2017), Untold Stories (2016), and Pure (2015). It is a magnificent platform that channels the designers’ talent and brings them face to face with the world.
