Onam Celebration 2022 – JD Institute Kochi
Onam Festival is the most well-known festival in Kerala, India. Kerala’s harvest festival, also known as the festival of rain flowers, is a ten-day festival celebrated with zeal throughout the state. It is observed during the month of Chingam (August 30th to September 8th in the Malayalam calendar).
Onam is celebrated to honor King Mahabali, who visits “Kerala” during Onam. When Onam is celebrated, Kerala opens up an entirely new world of exotic taste, exquisite fragrances, and an enchanting display of beauty for tourists.
Festivals make your soul and body dance to the exciting beats of music. With the same zeal and excitement, Academy Of Design & Management (ADM), Cochin under the guidance and management of JD Institute Of Fashion Technology Cochin, celebrated Onam with all the students and faculties dressed up in their new Onam outfits and started the day with pookalam, greetings followed by various games and competitions like Onam group song, Traditional Thiruvathira kali, pookalam competition, The best-performing students received awards from our honorable Ms.Sandra D’souza, Founder of ADM, Director South of JD Educational Trust, and Mr Anu Antony, ADM Student Mentor, for their tireless efforts. Winners and finalists in each category were chosen based on their skill set and the level of interaction generated by their act.
Our faculty had planned an energetic dance performance to conclude the event. which stole the show Later students also joined with the beat of the music. Events at the institute helped us get back on our feet after a two-year short stint and were able to see the strength and unity.
