Chayilyam is designed by Abhirami Reji , Student of BSc in Fashion Design & Garment Management at Academy of design & Management under the guidance of JD Institute Of Fashion Technology Cochin, for JD Design Awards 2023.CHAYILYAM is a mesmerizing fashion line created to honor the rich cultural history of Theyyam, a time-honored form of expression that originated in the Indian state of Kerala. Even though the person who plays the Theyyam is of a very low caste, when they perform, they are revered as gods or goddesses. Moreover, I want the wearer of my clothing to feel unique. Women in the age range of 19 to 30 can purchase this line of Indo-Western party clothing. This collection presents a distinctive and alluring fashion experience with its blend of traditional Indian aesthetics and contemporary silhouettes. Red is frequently regarded in Theyyam as a sacred and auspicious color, so this collection includes clothing in that color that is inspired by this art form.It symbolizes the heavenly force and energy of the god or spirit that is being portrayed in the act.
