Christmas – Ugly Sweater Pyjama 2022
It’s that time of year when streets are lit up with holiday lights, Christmas trees are decorated months ahead of time, cribs with nativity scenes are built, and homes and offices resemble one big party sphere. People all over the world are ecstatic and passionately celebrating it. Christmas is celebrated differently in each country. The giving and receiving of gifts, the decorating of Christmas trees, Santa Claus outfits, the construction of Christmas wreaths, the writing of Christmas cards for loved ones, the hanging of Christmas stockings, the lighting of candles, and the singing of carols are among the more well-known customs.
On December 23rd, Christmas was celebrated at the Academy of Design and Management cochin under the guidance of JD Institute of Fashion Technology Cochin, where students from all departments participated in the most delightful and fun – filled way.Our Director South Ms Sandra Agnes and Student Mentor of Academy of Design and Management Cochin Mr.Anu Antony were part of the event where they encouraged our students by spreading joy, with the entire event based on the Home Alone theme tagging the event with the name of ugly sweater pyjamas, the dress code was of red, green checks, or plain attires where the campus was completely decorated by our students with cotton for a snow effect and foil garland were used as Christmas trees , showcasing a variety of decorations, games, and activities, such as Cup flip, Pin the nose on the deer, Christmas dumb charades, and Slam a snowman, as well as Santa Claus, red, white, and green chart paper, markers, Christmas banners, Christmas hats, and a picture booth. Students were divided into 4 groups and sent on a treasure hunt by the faculty while listening to a Christmas dance soundtrack, following the clues that had been given to them. The programme was wrapped up with a DJ party that all of the students and faculties enjoyed a lot.
