Farewell Party At JD Institute of Fashion Technology Cochin!

A Farewell party was conducted for the graduating students of Diploma in Fashion Design, June and December batch. They were the students who experienced both online as well as offline classes.

“Farewell doesn’t mean that you will not see each other but it means that you will meet again and create more memories”. Leaving is sometimes tearful, sad and heart – wrenching even but we smile because we know you are forever ours and distance would never change that. It is the most painful and memorable moment in your life when you’re leaving or saying farewell to someone.

The team of JD Institute Cochin organised the farewell in accordance with International Men’s Day, as both the celebrations were in a one day gap difference. The celebrations were combined into one celebration. Along with the celebration of International Men’s Day, Mr. Eugene, alumnus of JD Institute Cochin, 2016 batch who has pursued his career in the Fashion industry as a Menswear Designer and owns a Wings Design Boutique. He had come into the JD Institute Cochin campus to share his experience, work and also presented a brief about client-oriented designs to the students as a part of their farewell for a better informed knowledge. Through his talk, he shared on the market requirements and practical knowledge required when interested in pursuing a career path as a menswear designer. The entire session was very interactive for the students as they could gain a lot of knowledge.

The students of Diploma in Fashion Design also known as DFD were also given the opportunity to be a part of the various events during their time spent with JD Institute Cochin, from the Fresher’s Day which was hosted with the theme ‘ALOHA’ to other events such as the fashion show organised at the Metro and Centre Square Mall, the Styling Competition which was held during the Onam festival and so on. The memories that were created on this eventful day is one that will remain in everyone’s heart for a lifetime. The best memory will stay, and the rest will stay, however, one day they will be remembered to bring smiles to many.

A snippet with their pictures was made by their faculty keeping in mind the farewell theme which the students highly appreciated and were enthusiastic about. The efforts taken by the faculty had brought about an immense set of emotions, from happiness to tears of sadness.In simpler words, it was an emotional rollercoaster for the students, the faculty and the management all at once.

The farewell party was highlighted when the faculty arranged for the cake cutting for the students as a sweet farewell. Ms. Akhila, centre head of JD Institute Cochin shared a few words of knowledge with students as well as expressed her overwhelming emotions and experiences about the graduating batch. Ms. Dhanya, HOD  of JD Institute Cochin  along with their class mentor Ms. Manju shared their heart-warming experience with the students. Some of the graduating students also utilized the opportunity to share their experiences and memories about the academic cultural events that JD Institute Cochin has organised over the period of time in the Institute. A day filled with roller coaster of emotions and well wishes, a day that will not be forgotten. A farewell is never a goodbye, but an ‘Until I see you again’. We wish all our creative innovative designers all the best for their future endeavours.
